Community Cleanup PLG works with a city department in addition to local businesses, associations, and groups. These are partners who donate supplies, host us, spread the word, or show up to clean.

⚕️ NYC Department of Sanitation
We work closely with the Department of Sanitation to arrange drop-off locations and pick-ups after all of our volunteering events.
The Sanitation Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Department of Sanitation, and we are recognized through their Community Stewards program. They also host our Community Steward page for more volunteers to find us. We have also received their Tool Grant in 2025 and 2026 for more supplies!
🏡 Neighborhood partners
- Maple Street Community Garden houses our cleanup supplies and hosts our board meetings. If you want to sit in on a board meeting, all are welcome! Come to one of our cleanups to learn more.
- Q Gardens is the community garden in Flatbush that houses or cleanup supplies for cleans in the lower parts of the neighborhood deeper into Flatbush.
- Prospect Lefferts Gardens Neighborhood Association
- Flatbush Avenue Merchants Association
- Maple Street Community Garden — hosts our tool cart, and people volunteering at both trash club and the garden is common.
- Hamlet is one of our favorite cafes in the neighborhood where we stop before, during, or after our cleanups :)
- Ciao Bella Coffee
- Hibiscus Brew
- Awesome Brooklyn hosts us for trashy hours.
- Antilles Cafe is a regular pit stop during cleanups.
- Bobbed Bandit is a favorite of ours for hosting larger events such as trashy hours, post-trashathon hangouts and celebrating community birthdays 🥳
- Fiona’s Bar and our team have collaborated on several events small and large, and we regularly host post-clean hangouts there.
- Hee Space Thrift Shop works with our team for post-cleanup hangouts.
- Crown Heights Running Club joins our cleanups sometimes!
- We have also held many events at Pacha Cafe, and their incredible team is always very welcoming and supportive!
